A Tradition of Collecting and Cultural Development: A Historical Model for Chinese Collectors of Contemporary Art drawn upon the Swiss Experience in Art Patronage and Philanthropy

Major Accomplishments as a Result of Project:

Conducted qualitative research, by interviewing gallerists from Art Basel (AB) and satellite art fairs
Formulated an analysis of artists/values of work at AB and the relationship to AB Hong Kong
Used data to better understand trends in both the macro and micro elements of art collection
Explored valuation variances between the two cities of Basel and Zürich
Conducted archival research at Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich
Wrote an article to be published in a peer reviewed journal
